Goals:

  • Report ERF vision/perspectives/positions.

  • Report ERF happenings and activities.

  • Publish articles/book reviews on various cultural, ethical, theological and political issues impacting mainline Protestantism particularly the UMC.

  • Inform NE United Methodists on the Evangelical Christian perspective.

  • Promote evangelistic activities in NE UMC’s.

Current Activities:

  • Publish quarterly Renewal Journal in March (before annual meeting), June (before annual conference), September, December. The Renewal Journal will report ERF happenings and activities, and will present articles and book reviews on evangelical world views of various cultural, ethical, theological and political issues.

  • Publish periodical special bulletins, notices, and announcements on topics of interest or concern to the ERF community.

  • Establish and maintain a web site to archive all conference records, Renew journal publications, special bulletins, and notices. The web site will also be used to post selected articles on evangelical views of various cultural, ethical, theological and political issues, and to Post upcoming national confessing movement and ERF events. It will also include a rich variety of ministry resources and links to other evangelical, Christian worldview web sites.

Needs:

  • People to research various topics and issues, identify material for the web site, and prepare articles for the journal.

  • People to conduct interviews and prepare reports for the journal and website.

  • People willing to prepare and distribute the journal.
